At the Planning Committee Meeting on Tuesday, April 5th, 2011, starting at 9:30 am, members of Council are meeting to consider the Minister of Municipal Affairs’ decision on the new Urban Hamilton Official Plan, and whether the City should appeal the decision. This will be the first item on the Agenda.

As April 5, 2011, is the last date to appeal the decision, the Special Council, called for 12 noon the same day, will finalise Council’s position.

Arrangements have been made to deliver any appeal letter to the Ministry by the end of day, April 5, 2011.

The Planning Committee is expected to hear delegations on the Minister’s decision, and will then go into Closed Session , to consider the staff’s Confidential report. Copies of that report were delivered to all of you on Thursday.

If you have any questions, please contact Brenda and she will be happy to discuss this with you.
